Looking back on a great 2019 season

LOOKING BACK ON A GREAT SEASON. The successful and enjoyable club finals day was another step in what has been a great 2019 summer season for Hove Park Tennis Club.
The league season has now come to an end with ALL six Hove Park teams very pleased with what they achieved.
Our first team (Hove) just missed out on being Brighton Parks champions with 110 pts to Dyke’s 115 pts. Dyke beat us in the last match of the season! 😱 Finishing 2nd was an improvement to the 2018 season when we finished 4th.
The second team (Hove A) achieved what they set out to do by staying in the first division finishing 7th with 54 pts. That has not always been possible before.😅
It was a great year for our third team (Hove B). They are division two champions gaining 107 pts beating Dyke A who came second with 104 pts. 🤠
In the third division (Hove C) our 4th team won promotion finishing as runners-up with 108 pts behind Dyke C with 113 pts. 😎
The fourth division belongs to Hove! Our 5th team (Hove D) easily won the division and are champions with 110 pts from 16 matches. The 6th team (Hove E) had their best season ever and also won promotion finishing as runners-up with 96 pts from 16 matches. 🥰🤩
Our six teams played a combined total of 104 matches and we won 66 of them. 21 were drawn and we were only beaten 17 times. A great record! We had 77 members play for Hove Park in the teams (40 men and 37 ladies) so congratulations to you all whether you just played a few games or were playing throughout the season. You all played your part in making 2019 a season to remember with pride.. Mick.
